Laura Ashley Bedding Styles

Elegance with a woman's name

Fitting for a company with two female first names, Laura Ashley bedding styles seem to all feature a woman's name. While I find this naming style a little tacky, there is something elegant about human named bedding sets. What's more, it's hard to deny the elegance and great presentation of many of Laura Ashley's bedding sets. While these are not many of the company's more popular lines, they all look great and offer a nice comfortable bedroom set for everyone interested.

Laura Ashley Caroline

The Caroline set does what I used to think was impossible. It makes the color yellow work. I always felt yellow was a difficult color to work with, but this great floral bedding set picked the right shade of yellow so that it doesn't dominate the room, but provides a nice spring color to brighten the day.

Gwyneth

One of my less favorite sets, the Gwyneth line is a bit bland. The coloring is faded and the blue just seems more old than anything else. A bedding set should inspire me, make me want to climb into it. However, the Gwyneth set makes me feel like I might be climbing into a pile of dust.

Katrina

The Katrina set features a blast of blue and yellow that almost makes me feel like I'm at the ocean. A nice compromise set for a couple as the blue adds a little masculine flair to an otherwise feminine design. It's got a strong presence, albeit a bit too repetitive of a print. The set overall looks like a blue version of the Gwyneth line.

Laura Ashley Mayfair

Featuring a soft pink, the Mayfair line is very subdued. However, it has a great print on it that evokes a lot of positive things and compliments the room nicely. The set allows you a lot to work with, and can work in a number of rooms.
